Congratulations to Sara Wildin, SHRM-CP

HRMN Super Hero Award Winner 2024

Sara is the Vice President of Human Resources at Community First National Bank. Her  unparalleled dedication and excellence in the field of human resources has earned her the award for HRMN Super Hero of the year! . Her journey began as a non-traditional student at K-State, where she earned her bachelor's degree while raising three young children. During her college years, she actively participated in the SHRM student chapter and excelled in the K-State College of Business Executive Mentor Program, being honored as the Executive Mentee of the Year in 2018.

Sara's commitment to HRMN is remarkable. She has served in numerous leadership roles, including vice president, president, secretary, and board of directors wrangler, displaying exceptional adaptability and resilience. During her presidency, she skillfully navigated HRMN through the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, ensuring its continuity and success.

Beyond her organizational roles, Sara's influence extends to the community. She is a dedicated Girl Scout troop leader, an active participant in the Manhattan Area Chamber of Commerce Workforce Development Committee, and a volunteer for Konza United Way's Community Investment Day. She also contributes to local schools through mock interview days and engages with Community First National Bank’s Events Committee. Her commitment to professional development is evident in her swift achievement of the SHRM-CP credential shortly after graduating from K-State.

Sara’s approach to HR is deeply rooted in integrity, kindness, and curiosity. She believes in listening more than speaking, leading with compassion, and finding the good in every day. Her tireless volunteerism, mentoring, and advocacy for best practices have earned her admiration and several nominations for this prestigious award. Sara Wildin is a true HR superhero, inspiring her peers and making a lasting impact in her community.
