State of KS Registered Apprenticeship Program

Registered Apprenticeship is a talent development model that combines actual work experience with classroom related instruction and produces a worker skilled in the occupation of choice.

During this presentation, participants will learn:

  • What a Registered Apprenticeship is and how it provides a training model that moves participants from entry-level skills to full occupational proficiency
  • The components of a Registered Apprenticeship and how businesses can develop qualified training and instruction that qualifies
  • How to understand the human resource implications of long term apprenticeships to meet proper training, compliance and other related obligations of the business
